What is Feng Shui?

Feng Shui is an established technique used to promote prosperity, harmony, well-being and good health in the home and workplace. It originated in the Far East and is over 5,000 years old.

Feng Shui is based on the principles of “ch’i” – the dynamic interplay of all matter. By being mindful of its flow in the personal or business environment, massive change and well-being can be effected. In down-to-earth terms we can easily translate this to observe that our habitat impacts on us  - and we on it.

Feng Shui has gained in popularity in recent times in the West and Essential Feng Shui incorporates a modern, practical approach to enriching your life, your career and your personal surroundings.

Have a personal consultation with Verity in your home to help you to analyse what is going on in your life and suggest the adjustments needed in your environment.

The process is exciting, fun empowering and rewarding.

You will reach enough understanding about the basics to continue to use the principles of Feng Shui.

A valuable investment for the present and future.

A Feng Shui analysis of your business place can highlight the reasons for ongoing challenges - such as staff discontent or absenteeism, inability to build resources, etc.

Making informed adjustments in the office environment will increase worker productivity and create a more harmonious and comfortable environment for staff and customers alike.

Correct placing of fittings, furniture and artwork, plus attention to signage and frontage can increase clientele.

Correct landscaping using Feng Shui knowledge and wisdom can enhance the whole property.

A written report is produced with recommendations and a follow-up visit ensures that adjustments which have been made are having the desired effect.

Ideally, Feng Shui principles are applied before construction begins or before renovations are initiated.

Inspection of building sites and terrain are undertaken to ensure the best possible use of ch’i.

Floor plans and sketches are analyzed for stability of the building and leakage of life force energy.

7 easy tips for creating a stress-free environment in your bedroom.

A third of our life is spent in bed!  (unless you are a party animal!) So it is really important that your bedroom be a place of tranquility and peace.

1.  Bed placement – do not have your feet pointing into a doorway, especially a bathroom.  If there is no other solution, make sure that the bathroom door is always kept shut.
2.    Check the beams over your head.  If they are ‘cutting’ down on you, do a ‘cure’, i.e. drape some voile over the beams or rafters, Arabic tent fashion, or get two bamboo flutes on a red string and have them point upwards; you could paint out the rafters with white.
3.    Keep mirrors to a minimum. What cannot be moved, do it the old-fashioned way how your grandma taught you – cover them up at night.
4.    CLEAR UP THE CLUTTER!  How can the wonderful new enter if there is no space for it?
5.    If you must have a TV in the bedroom (it is really not a good idea at all), cover it up at night.  Also get a piece of agate and place it near the TV.
6.    It is best not have your head under a window.  If there is no other way to place the bed, keep the windows closed when you are sleeping.
7.  Keep it romantic - especially if you sleep on your own!
